- My second cousin had a baby girl premature and the baby spent a month in the hospital. Baby is home and both baby and mom are doing wonderful.
- I had a birthday this month...turned "46" yikes......I sure don’t feel it!
- I have taken on a second job. We have a friend who just bought a restaurant and I am working two nights a week as a hostess, closing. It has been hard on him and his girlfriend, they are trying to do everything themselves so my husband and I are helping them out all we can until they can get this under their belt.
- And last......my 45 year old cousin the "New Grandmother" found out three weeks ago she is going to be a mother again! Yep, you read it correctly....she was in shock. Her two girls are 21 & 18.

26 years ago today....
She who is my Daughter
I loved you from the moment I saw you. I adored every little thing about you. In you I saw all my hopes and dreams, for the future begin to blossom.
I tried to teach you to believe in yourself, to trust your inner voice, and to believe in true love. I gave you wings and taught you how to fly the best I could. I wanted for you to have it all - see it all - to do it all!!
When the day came for you to fly solo, I suddenly had second thoughts. Had I taught you all I should? Could you really spread your wings and fly alone?
With part of me holding on and part of me letting go, you spread your magnificent wings and soared.
With our shared dreams, as well as separate aspirations, you became everything, I ever hoped for a daughter to be. You are smart, strong, and independent with a kind, tender, and passionate heart.
How grateful I am that regarless of time or distance you are still and will eternally be my daughter!

Hoping for a dry and warm office tomorrow.....
I walked into a raining office and when I say raining….I mean literally a light misty rain was coming down in my office. I called the maintenance department and about six men came to the rescue. How many maintenance men does it take to fix a leak?? Six, one to climb the ladder and five to watch; it was comical, my co-worker and I watched from across the hall as five of them stood there watching the one guy climb the ladder and shut off the valve. When I left on Friday afternoon they had brought in a de-humidifier and about four commercial fans to dry the floor out. On the left of me is an office and on the right is another office. The water got just inside those offices too. It truly was a mess. Besides the pipe that has to be replaced there is also a coil. They told me it would be fixed in two days if they have the coil on hand....well knowing them like I do – I’m guessing I won’t have heat for about two weeks. I may have to take a heater with me. So…I’m not planning on getting much work done tomorrow, because I’m sure I will have to deal with the mess again.

The Diet is officially on….
In February of 2010, a co-worker and I decided we were going to follow the weight watchers plan. We went - weighed in got our materials and off we went. We both have done really well. Then the slow down hit for me. I was like a roller coaster with the weight! I would be up a pound one week and down two the next, then I might be down two pounds the week after and then back up a pound. It was crazy!! Well….. we decided that we were going to go back to weight watchers, they have this new plan called “PointsPlus” we thought it would be a good idea to sorta start fresh again. She had hit a plateau herself so we thought why not?
We went tonight, weighed in and I was very disappointed in myself. As of August of last year I had lost 30pds with 10pds to reach my goal weight. I hate to say it but after our weigh in tonight I now have 17pds to lose to get to my goal weight. Urgh…. how could I let myself fall back like that? I have decided not to sweat it….I am going to start over and hopefully by the time summer gets here I will be at my goal weight. So…everyone say a pray for me, I am going to need it. Eating is one of my favorite things to do. And sweets are at the top of the list. lol…..

Merry Christmas to all….
I wanted to wish everyone in Blog Land a very Merry Christmas!
My daughter has to work on Christmas day (we are really bummed about that), this is a new job and because she works weekends, it just falls that way. It’s all good though she came over last night and we cooked dinner and opened our gifts. It seemed a little strange because it was out of the norm, but we still had fun. We let our furry babies open their stockings first (to keep them occupied).
Then we proceeded with our gifts. By the time we were finished both of our furry boys were ready for bed! Nibbles was out of it, we kept piling on the wrapping paper and he didn’t even care.
Buster, was pretty tired as well.
Tonight we will have Christmas with my family and my husbands family, we are expecting it to start snowing around 8:00pm and by tomorrow we should have about 2 inches of snow . I am so excited and can’t wait for a white Christmas. The only bad thing about it is my daughter has to work on Christmas Day. She does live about 15 minutes from work, but she has about a 30-45 minute drive from our house to hers tonight.
Hope everyone has a safe and Merry Christmas. I would like to leave you with some more Christmas pics.
Merry Christmas from the Dennis Family!

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow…
I love it when it snows…especially when I don’t have to get out in it. Our Christmas parade was tonight. I could feel the Christmas spirit with the snow falling down and the cold temps. Made me want to be by a nice warm fire with some hot cocoa..
I wanted to share with you some of my new Christmas decorations this year. I decided to decorate simple with just a few things.
Santa is new – I found him at Marshalls and I love him:
I collect snowmen – this is a new little guy I found him at TJ Maxx
I bought this boot. The picture really doesn’t do it justice; It’s really cute in person.
And this Santa arrangement. I bought it at a local flower house in town.
Well, that’s it for now. I will share more of my Christmas decorations next week.
Hope everyone has a great Sunday. Stay Warm!!
Pam ~
